Thanks to their support, we were able to keep Mom in her own home significantly longer than we ever thought possible.
After my father passed away, our family began exploring long-term living options for my mother. We toured Western Home Communities and considered a variety of options on campus, but it quickly became clear that Mom's strongest wish was to stay in her own home for as long as possible. That's when we were introduced to Fortified Life.
At first, not much changed for her. A Fortified Life staff member checked in regularly, and Mom used the home cleaning services. Things stayed that way for several years, until she received a serious diagnosis that affected both her health and her memory.
That's when the true value of the program became clear. Visits became more frequent. In-home services expanded to include safety coaching, equipment installation, medication management, and eventually caregivers who came multiple times a day. They did exactly what they promised. The staff worked closely with our family to find the right balance of independence and assistance, helping her maintain her dignity and quality of life.
When her needs eventually grew beyond what could be managed at home, the team was exceptional. They were responsive and proactive, quickly finding her a place on campus and seamlessly transitioning her to the level of care she needed. Their compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail during that difficult time gave us tremendous peace of mind.
From my perspective, Fortified Life delivered exactly as represented. Financially, they met every obligation. In terms of support, they delivered exactly as advertised. And personally, they helped guide us through a difficult transition. Having a partner to ask questions of and seek advice from while making hard decisions wasn't something I expected when we signed up, but looking back, it was one of the most important parts.
I'd encourage anyone considering the program to do their own due diligence and think through the financial implications for their situation. For our family, Fortified Life was absolutely the right choice. They exceeded our expectations and then some.
